The Gastrointestinal Endoscopy was first introduced in Egypt in the Kasr Al-Aini hospital by Prof.Dr. Abu Shady El-Rouby, yet the unit has been established in its final structure in 1987 by Prof.Dr. Shoukry Hunter. Presently the unit is directed by Prof.Dr. Mohammad Salah

The aim is to deliver high quality endoscopic services to all patients who attend Kasr al ainy Endoscopy unit. It is a referral unit that offers all modern diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. Our particular focus is to ensure that patients are cared for in a friendly and efficient manner with state of the art equipment that is maintained to the highest possible standards.
